New Infrastructure to Support a Growing Community

District Playing Fields Planned For Allara

Planned for the area between Revolution Park and the train line, this large open space will offer playing fields and plenty of open space. Keep an eye on our website to learn what’s happening in the award-winning Allara community.

Heath Park Pavilion

A stunning new pavilion is under construction at Heath Park, thanks to $6.3m in funding from the City of Wanneroo and WA State Government. The community facility will include change rooms, universal access toilets and showers, first aid facilities, activity rooms, kitchens, kiosks, and storage. Heath Park is already home to rugby, football, and cricket clubs, and this new facility will further enhance the area’s infrastructure while giving the community an inclusive and accessible facility. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2025.

Aquatic Recreation Centre

Construction is officially underway on the Alkimos Aquatic Centre, an exciting multi-purpose venue that’s set to become a community hub. When it opens in late 2026, the $88m facility will include:

  • Three indoor pools.
  • 50m outdoor competition pool.
  • Wellness amenities, including a spa, sauna, and steam room.
  • Multi-use indoor sports courts.
  • A gym and fitness suite.
  • A café.
  • Meeting rooms.
  • Creche space.

The facility is a key project for the region, made possible through City of Wanneroo funding, and contributions from the Federal and State Governments.
