Just a four-minute drive from Bluestone, Tarneit train station has been proudly serving the growing community since it opened in 2015. Express services take you from Tarneit to Melbourne CBD (Southern Cross) in around 40 minutes via the Geelong line on weekdays and Warrnambool line services on weekends. Expanded car parks and a brand-new bus interchange were unveiled in November 2023, offering bus connections to Williams Landing, Hoppers Crossing, and Werribee, plus the FlexiRide Tarneit North service.
Plan Your V/Line Trip From Tarneit
Big things are on the horizon, with the new West Tarneit Station set to open in 2026. Located near Leakes and Davis Roads, this brand-new V/Line station on the Geelong Line between Wyndham Vale and Tarneit will include a bus interchange, 400 parking bays, and a safe pedestrian underpass. The landscaped precinct will also feature separated walking and cycling paths, bike hoops, and secure bike storage. Delivered as part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to connect Melbourne’s western growth corridor with the CBD, West Tarneit Station will be less than 7 minutes from Bluestone, making commuting even easier.

Driving into the city is straightforward with easy access to the Princes Freeway (M1) and Western Freeway (M8). Depending on traffic, you can reach Melbourne CBD in 30 to 40 minutes. Avalon Airport is a quick 30-minute drive via the M1, while Geelong is just a little further by car or on the upgraded Geelong train line. For work, weekends, or trips away, Bluestone keeps you connected in every direction.
