The Victorian economy continues to perform strongly – it has been named the top economic performer in the nation by the CommSec State of the States July Report. The latest data showed Victoria’s economic growth in the March quarter was 26.6% above its decade-average, above NSW (21.1%) and Queensland (20.6%). Victoria continues to outperform the nation, with construction work in the state 30.1% higher than the decade-average output.

The State Government continues with its massive infrastructure pipeline, delivering projects like the Metro Tunnel, level crossing removals and the North East Link. The Andrews Labor Government has almost tripled infrastructure investment to an average of $13.4 billion annually over the four years to 2022-23 compared to the long-term average.

Market activity continues to stabilise following the decisive outcome of the Federal Election.  The graph below of all Satterley project leads shows inquiry levels and leads continue to increase month on month providing further evidence of a rebound in interest – a leading indicator of potential activity. 

Employment in Victoria grew by 119,800 or 3.7% for the 12 months to July 2019. Seasonally adjusted unemployment was steady at 4.8%, below the national figure which was also steady at 5.2%.

Botanical's My Room Charity Home sells for $582,00

A Sunshine West family made the winning bid at a charity home auction in Mickleham last weekend. The Simonds home, to be built in Satterley’s Botanical community was part of Channel Nine’s My Room Telethon, which is raising funds to help fight childhood cancers.

Mariah and Lloyd Johansson (pictured below) purchased the off-the-plan home for $582,000.
