Home to many native plants and animals, including wildflowers that explode with colour from August to November, this regional park truly feels like an escape from the everyday.
Sporty families will find everything they need here. The facilities have been upgraded to support the growing community and now include a full-size football oval, cricket nets, soccer and softball pitches.
Capped off with children’s playgrounds and walking trails, the area is always buzzing with families enjoying nature or Forrestdale’s local sporting clubs training for game day.
An easy 10-minute stroll from Mahala, the Anstey-Keane Dampland is a bushland gem and one of the most botanically diverse patches on the Swan Coastal Plain. As well as being home to 380-plus plant species – more than Kings Park – the bushland provides important habitat for the Southern Brown Bandicoot or Quenda. It’s great for exploratory walks or wildlife spotting.
