Exciting New Community Hub Coming to Dalyellup Beach

Construction has commenced on the Dalyellup Multipurpose Community and Youth Centre (DMCYC), a significant development poised to enrich the Dalyellup Beach estate and its residents. This $13.86 million project is supported by a $9 million investment from the Western Australian Government and a $1.9 million Lotterywest grant. The centre is scheduled for completion in December 2026 .

Key Features of the DMCYC

  • Library and Learning Centre: A contemporary space featuring dynamic furniture and flexible zones, including a retreat room, two meeting rooms, and an early learning area. This fulfills a long-standing promise to provide a permanent library in Dalyellup.
  • Technology and Creativity Hub: Equipped with cutting-edge technology, this hub will support gaming, robotics, digital creative arts, software development, music recording, and online training. Programs will cater to both enthusiasts and professionals.
  • Youth Hub: A dedicated space for youth programs and services, located next to the Youth Precinct, which includes a skate park, pump track, and nature play area.
  • Function and Community Meeting Spaces: Featuring a foyer gallery, meeting rooms, kitchen, and public amenities, these spaces are designed to accommodate both community and regional events, with versatile indoor and outdoor areas.

Benefits to Dalyellup Beach Estate

The DMCYC is set to become a vibrant hub that seamlessly integrates Shire services and community initiatives. Its strategic location within the Dalyellup District Centre development ensures residents have convenient access to essential amenities and services.

The centre will cater to all age groups, fostering community engagement and improving the quality of life for Dalyellup Beach residents. Additionally, the construction phase is expected to create approximately 25 full-time jobs, boosting the regional economy and providing employment opportunities for local workers .
