Kingswood Receives Planning Permit

Satterley has received planning approval for Kingswood in Dingley Village, paving the way for more than 900 new homes and approximately 10 hectares of open space on the former Kingswood Golf Course.

The approval is a major milestone for the new community and will unlock more housing and greater housing choice in an established part of Melbourne’s south-east.

It follows significant interest in Kingswood since its launch, with more than 500 people attending the official opening of the Kingswood Sales Office in August.

Since then, Kingswood has welcomed its first purchasers, with further releases of homesites and townhomes launched in response to buyer interest. House and land packages are also available through a range of leading Victorian builders.

New homes and more choice in Dingley Village

New housing opportunities of this scale are increasingly rare in established parts of Melbourne.

Kingswood will offer a mix of residential land, house and land packages and architecturally designed townhomes, giving buyers different ways to secure a new home while remaining connected to the established amenity of Dingley Village and Melbourne’s south-east.

Future residents will be close to local schools, shops, parks and sporting facilities, while the beaches, dining and shopping of Melbourne’s Bayside suburbs are also within easy reach.

Mordialloc Beach is approximately 11 minutes from Kingswood, with Dingley Village Shopping Centre within walking distance.

A green, connected neighbourhood

Open space and the existing landscape will play an important role in the new community.

Approximately 10 hectares – around 20 per cent of the site – will be dedicated to green open space, complemented by parks and a network of shared walking and cycling paths throughout Kingswood.

More than 800 existing trees are planned to be retained, with more than 1,500 new trees to be planted as the community develops.

Together, the homes, landscaping and open spaces have been planned to create a new neighbourhood that feels connected to the established character of Dingley Village.

What comes next for Kingswood

With the planning permit now received, Satterley is progressing the next stage of work required to deliver Kingswood.

Construction is anticipated to commence in early 2027, subject to the relevant permit conditions and infrastructure requirements, with the first titles currently anticipated in late 2027.

For buyers, opportunities to become part of the new community are already available.

Following Kingswood’s latest release, a selection of homesites and townhomes is now available, alongside house and land packages from participating builder partners.
