State funding supports future upgrade of Dalyellup Beach Foreshore

Dalyellup Beach is set to benefit from a significant foreshore upgrade following a one-million-dollar State Government funding commitment to the Shire of Capel.

The funding will support the future redevelopment of the South Dalyellup Beach Foreshore, an important coastal space that plays a vital role in recreation, surf lifesaving activities and emergency response for the local community.

As the developer of Dalyellup Beach, Satterley welcomes the investment, which will help enhance accessibility, safety and amenity along one of the region’s most valued coastal areas. The project reflects the continued growth of Dalyellup, and the increasing need for high quality public infrastructure that supports an active, connected and inclusive coastal lifestyle.

The Shire of Capel will lead the project, working closely with an appointed designer and the local community to develop concept options and a final design that responds to both current and future community needs. Community consultation and design development are expected to commence early this year and continue through to August, with residents invited to provide feedback throughout the process.

The foreshore redevelopment is expected to deliver broader benefits beyond Dalyellup, contributing to the local and regional economy by strengthening the area’s appeal as a place to live, visit and invest. Improved access and upgraded public spaces are anticipated to increase visitation, supporting tourism, small business activity and recreational opportunities across the South West.

The Shire has also indicated a strong intention to engage local contractors and suppliers during construction, helping to maximise economic benefits within the region.

Construction of the selected design is currently anticipated to take place between December 2026 and April 2027, with timeframes subject to refinement as planning progresses.
