What Makes A Coastal Community in Perth’s North?

In 1980, Nigel Satterley pioneered a vision for master planned communities that were connected, welcoming and rich in everyday amenity. Inspired by the spirit of Cunderdin, the small Wheatbelt town where Nigel grew up, the idea was to create communities with the same sense of familiarity, neighbourliness and belonging as the friendly country town he grew up in.

Throughout recent years, Perth’s northern coastal corridor has evolved, offering masterplanned communities that provide access to local amenities, direct beach access, parks and open spaces, where families can meet, gather and feel a part of a thriving, established community.

Evolution of Eden Beach

Established in 2012, Eden Beach estate has grown into one of Perth’s most recognised northern coastal communities. Today, many residents refer to the area by the community’s name Eden Beach rather than the suburb it resides in – Jindalee. This is a sign of the strong sense of identity and sense of belonging the community has built over its 14-year history.

Throughout its development the community has experienced multiple display village openings, community events, parks and public open spaces, established a local primary school and direct beach access to Jindalee beach. Eden Beach has evolved into an established, thriving neighbourhood where lifestyle, connection and convenience all come together.

Why Residents Call Eden Beach Home

  • 35 minutes north of Perth CBD
  • 2 minutes from Butler train station
  • 4 minutes drive within the estate to the renowned The Beach House
  • 1,326 homes upon completion
  • 1.5km of pristine beach and direct access to Jindalee Beach

Hear from the Estate Manager

Satterley’s estate manager, Melanie has had the privilege of helping buyers find their place within Eden Beach and watched many families come and purchase their 2nd and even 3rd home within this coastal community.

“Having watched Eden Beach evolve over the years, one of the most rewarding aspects of my role has been seeing the community develop its own identity. Residents take pride in where they live, and you can see that in the connections they build with neighbours and the way they embrace the coastal lifestyle. Many families who purchased their first home in Eden Beach have chosen to stay within the community as their lives and needs have changed, returning to upsize, downsize or purchase another home. That speaks volumes about the strong sense of belonging that's been created here. Whether it's meeting friends at The Beach House or enjoying the beach and local parks, it's a community people are genuinely proud to call home.”

Community Milestones

Built across 110ha, this master planned community offers some key features which make it such a desired coastal community.

  • The Beach House: Overlooking the Indian Ocean is the spectacular $3 million-dollar, 250 seat Beach House bar and eatery. Officially opening in 2019 the venue is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Situated alongside the Eden Beach foreshore park and playground, this thriving venue offers relaxed, lux coastal lifestyle.
  • Direct Foreshore Access: Direct access to Jindalee beach from Aurora Esplanade and Thala View allows residents and locals to walk directly onto Jindalee beach.
  • Supporting Local Businesses: Over the years Eden Beach’s sales office doubled as a community space for residents and locals to use for a range of activities. Throughout the years Eden Beach’s community space has supported local businesses such as Zen Life Yoga to expand and grow into a thriving local business, purchasing their own space not far from the community.

Explore Good Times!

Since 2013, Eden Beach has run a variety of events and activities throughout the estate, allowing the community to grow and prosper. Supporting our Community

A large part of Satterley, and what we stand for is what we give back to the community. Eden Beach was home to the Telethon Home in 2016 and 2017, donating over $1.4 million to Telethon over those two years.
