10 Family Activities Near Eden Beach in Jindalee, Perth

Located in the thriving northern corridor of the City of Wanneroo, Eden Beach in Jindalee is surrounded by a wealth of activities, beautiful beaches, and plentiful activities. If you feel like staying closer to home, there are adventures to be had on your front doorstep; one of the benefits of living in a Satterley masterplanned community.

We share a selection of our favourite weekend activities below, with something the whole family is sure to enjoy!

 

  1. STAY LOCAL AT THE EDEN BEACH FORESHORE PARK AND PLAYGROUND
    The Eden Beach Foreshore Park and Playground is an adventure for all children. Slides, multi-level play cubes, climbing structures, and a toddler play area are all on offer. Pack a picnic and make a day of it!
  2. COOL OFF AT YOUR LOCAL BEACH
    The Foreshore park leads to the beach where you’ll find stretches of pristine coastline ready to be explored. Bring your favourite book or bat and ball to spend the afternoon with your family. Time your trip with sunset to take in the beauty of the WA coast.
  3. FIND OUT WHAT’S ON IN YOUR COMMUNITY
    Eden Beach has so much going on, right here. Your dedicated community development coordinator runs free community events all year round. Check out your community ‘What’s On’ page to see what’s coming up.The Eden Studio, next to the sales office, is home to lots of small businesses and workshops. Pop by for a yoga session or plan your own activity. With a gold coin donation to Telethon, the Eden Studio is yours to enjoy.
  4. GO SWIMMING AT YOUR LOCAL PROTECTED SWIMMING BEACH
    Only a short drive from Eden Beach is Quinns Beach, complete with a shark protection swimming net. Here there are a variety of cafes and restaurants to complete your day; all featuring iconic coastal views.
  5. HOP ON THE TRAIN TO EXPERIENCE PERTH CBD
    A short work from Eden Beach is Butler Train Station with a direct route to Perth CBD. Purchase a family day pass with TransPerth, and you’ll be in the heart of the city in around 35 minutes!
  6. VISIT YOUR LOCAL DOG BEACH AT JINDALEE DOG BEACH
    For the furry friends among us, Jindalee Dog Beach is one of our favourites. With Jindalee Beach Cafe close by you can enjoy a beach walk with your fluffy companions followed by lunch, coffee, and cafe. The occasional dolphin is known to spot by too!
  7. SPEND THE DAY AT MINDARIE MARINA
    Mindarie Marina is a hub of entertainment; boats, brewery, food, beach, events, and views all await. Check out The Mindarie Marina to see what’s on and a full list of events.
  8. HEAD UP TO YANCHEP TO EXPLORE THE LAGOON, CAVES AND NATIONAL PARK
    Yanchep is alive with nature and culture. The tranquil lagoon is sheltered and perfect for an afternoon dip in the ocean. Yanchep National Park is an ideal spot for a picnic, walk around the caves or along Koala Boardwalk!
  9. MAKE A PICNIC TO WATCH ENJOY WHILE THE SUN GOES DOWN
    WA is known for beautiful sunsets. One of our favourite ways to spend an evening with family is with a picnic watching the sun go down. Views are most picturesque from The Eden Beach Foreshore Park and Playground.
  10. EXPLORE WILDFLOWERS ON A WALKING TRAIL
    Explore the stunning bushland by walking one of the many trails through our regional and national parks. The 28km Yaberoo Budjara trail can be tackled in sections, making it perfect for an afternoon stroll or full day hike.
