10 things to do near you at Eden Beach if you’re flying solo

Flying solo can be daunting, especially if you’re new to the area and unsure where to start when it comes to finding things to do near your new home at Eden Beach. We believe you don’t have to have an adventure buddy to explore the range of amazing attractions and activities on your doorstep at Eden Beach.

Adrenaline junky, movie buff or adventure seeker, we have something for you. We’ve prepared 10 of our favourite things to do for the solo adventurer near Eden Beach, giving you a head start when it comes to enjoying your surroundings and finding your feet.

Take a walk along the beach

With a name like ‘Eden Beach’ it's only right that the beautiful foreshore and pristine sandy beach are pretty spectacular, right? Located within a short walk, the idyllic beach is beautiful at both day and night. Why not head down with a book and watch the sunset over your ned community?

See a movie at Grand Cinema Currambine

Just a short drive away and with 6 screens to choose from, Grand Cinema is a great location to catch up on the latest blockbusters. Head down early and treat yourself with a visit to The Cheesecake Shop just around the corner on Hobsons Gate.

Enjoy a coffee at one of the many nearby cafes

The area surrounding Eden Beach has an abundance of cafes to try, including one of our favourites Oceans 27 at nearby Shorehaven Beach, offering everything from an iced latte for those hot summer mornings to avo on toast for a breakfast treat. Jindalee Beach Shack is also a short drive away at Jindalee Beach and offers everything you need for some solo relaxation while watching the world go by.

Join a sports team

Joining a sports team can provide a great way to meet new people and to get active, whether you’re competitive or just after some social sporting fun! If cricket’s your sport of choice, try Quinns Rocks Cricket Club who provides cricket for ages 16-60 and offers junior cricket for boys and girls up to the age of 16. Cricket not your thing? Try Quinns Football Club, home to both mens and ladies teams at Gumblossom Park.

Pop along to the next community event at Eden Beach and meet your neighbours

There’s so much going on at Eden Beach, offering everything you need to get to know your neighbours with free events all year round. Check out our ‘What’s On’ page to keep up to date with all the happenings.

Explore Yanchep and check out the Koalas on the boardwalk

Yanchep is just a short 10 minute drive away and is home to Yanchep National Park where you’ll find a 240m koala boardwalk offering you a chance to see them in their natural environment. If you’re lucky you may also spot a Kangaroo! Head down in the early evening or early morning to increase your chances of roo-spotting.

Treat yourself to some new purchases with a shopping trip

There’s plenty of shopping centres nearby to help you pick out your next outfit or buy a gift for a loved one. A short walk from Eden Beach is Butler Central, complete with everything a shopping addict may need. Ocean Keys Shopping Centre and Lakeside Joondalup and both a short drive or a few stops from Butler Station on the train.

Watch the boats at Mindarie Harbour

The harbour is home to a wide array of boats and is a great location to watch the world go by. Head down for sunset and treat yourself to a cocktail on the boardwalk for a relaxing evening. Check out ‘The Mindarie Marina’ for a full list of events happening.

Go for a swim at the local Beach

Quinns Beach presents an opportunity to swim freely in the ocean with a shark protection net so you can breathe easy heading into the ocean. Head for a swim in the morning for a relaxing dip with the sun rising ahead of you.

Hop on a ferry to Rottnest Island

Just off the coast, Rottnest Island is home to everything from great cycling trails to some of the best snorkeling locations around. Hop on a ferry from Hilary’s Boat Harbour to experience everything Rottnest has to offer or if you really want to treat yourself, take a helicopter ride to the island and enjoy the stunning views.
