5 free things do these school holidays at Honeywood, Wandi

Located just 30 minutes from both Perth and Fremantle, you’ll find Honeywood Estate in Wandi. This beautiful masterplanned community has been designed with modern liability in mind. Whatever your family lifestyle there is something to suit you, especially during the Easter school holidays!

The school holidays are a great opportunity to explore where you live. With over 10 kilometres of walkways and cycle paths and a range of parks and playgrounds now is the time to get outdoors and rediscover the place you call home.

Stay Local

Stay local and explore Wandi district playing fields, opposite Honeywood Primary School. The park has been designed for all ages and abilities surrounded by a large oval for BYO games and activities too!

Swing on the 30-metre flying fox, practice your balancing skills on the rope obstacle course, step across the nature-based elements or climb up the climbing wall before sliding down the slide.

The variety of swings, spinning cups and tunnels and beams have something for every little and big kid. Buggy Buddy’s recently reviewed our park and captured this fantastic local amenity in action. Read more here.

Meet & Mingle

What better way to spend the school holidays than with your neighbours! Join together at your local park or invite them over for a coffee while the kids play in the back garden. Our Honeywood community is thriving with so many families, and we know you’ll find friends for you and the kids! If you’re new to the area, keep an eye out for one of Honeywood’s next events to meet and mingle with your fellow residents.

Walk your pooch

If a precious pooch is a part of your family, spend some quality time with them over the school holidays. They make the best walking or trail companion and are the source of many school holiday memories. With Honeywood’s new designated Dog Park, you can spend the afternoon jumping obstacles and getting out in the fresh air with your fur baby.

Have an afternoon tea party!

Packing a picnic to enjoy in the park with friends or your little ones is a great way to spend an afternoon. School holidays can mean we stay indoors, especially during the cooler months. Why not make an adventure of it, pack some hot chocolate, sandwiches, chopped up fruit and sweet treats to enjoy nature. BBQ’s are in action all year round for you to warm up with burgers or sausages!

Go on a photography adventure

Honeywood is thriving with nature and wildflowers. Over 28 hectares of conservation wetlands has been set aside for protection, and as habitat for the endangered Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo which means birds, butterflies and flora and fauna are close by. Bring your camera and capture Honeywood’s natural beauty while learning about the wildlife that surrounds us.

What are your favourite free activities to do with your little ones during the school holidays? We’d love to hear how you enjoy the outdoors and where we live.
