Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to read our summer newsletter.

In this edition, we’ll update you on how the project is coming along, provide some news and information about what’s happening in and around the community and you’ll hear from our General Manager on the state of the market.

Making a bid for better children's cancer treatment

My Room Children’s Cancer Charity is set for a major financial boost after the third annual Home for a Cure charity auction, held at Arcadia in November, ended with a winning bid of $695,000.

Following fierce bidding from five attendees beginning at $601,000, the hammer came down with the price $75,000 over the home’s reserve. And when all was said and done it was Indra Gurung and Tejendra Khadka who had secured the four-bedroom Simonds home.

A note from our General Manager

This year marked Satterley’s 40th anniversary. For four decades, Satterley has prided itself on building strong and harmonious communities.

While for obvious reasons we couldn’t quite celebrate as we were hoping to in 2020, we still took enormous satisfaction in the community spirit that marked Australia’s response to the pandemic.

COVID-19 has affected communities and businesses, which of course means it has affected economies. Many commentators early in the year predicted that property prices would fall dramatically as the full effects of the health response kicked in, but we are glad to see that simply hasn’t happened.

Virtually Together keeps community spirit alive

Sometimes “staying apart to stay together” during 2020 was easier said than done. While we were sad that we didn’t have as many in-person community events this year as we’d have liked, we were delighted to see that our Virtually Together program kept the community spirit alive.
