An old homestead that has been retained onsite is part of works approaching completion on the new community facilities at Clementine, Satterley’s newest masterplanned development in Upper Swan.

The old homestead will be restored into a functioning sales suite, equipped with a kitchen available for community use. The open-air community pavilion, former grape drying shed and surrounding landscaping will also be available for use by the community and local small businesses, with the potential for farmers markets and private events. Works are expected to be completed by September 2021.

Angie Sellin, the previous owner of the homestead is excited to see her old home restored for a new generation of families and community members to enjoy.

Clementine Senior Development Manager Sandy Biagioni, said, “It is important Clementine recognises the past and that we embrace the history of the site when designing a neighbourhood that a future generation will love to call home.

This site is rich in history, and we want to pay homage to the previous landowners and all the wonderful memories they had on this site. We want to restore the homestead and build new community facilities now to ensure the new Clementine neighbourhood has some wonderful amenities to enjoy right away,” he said.

Surrounded by views of sweeping hills and sprawling grapevines, Clementine is a unique beauty in a fertile corner of Perth. Clementine is Satterley’s first foray into the popular north-east corridor which is expected to increase in population by approximately 500,000 people over the next 15-20 years.

Sales at Clementine officially started in July 2020 with a variety of living options available, from larger lots to suit a growing family, to smaller sizes to suit a quieter, easy lifestyle.

Upon completion, Clementine will be home to around 4,500 people and will feature a foreshore reserve, neighbourhood shopping precinct, primary school and plenty of parks and playgrounds. By incorporating wide, country-style roads, larger lot sizes and embracing natural assets like the Ellen Brook, Clementine aspires to create an urban version of a country lifestyle.
