Hosting an outdoor birthday party at Dalyellup

Dalyellup Beach estate has so many amazing outdoor spaces which makes hosting an affordable kids birthday party super easy.

If your child is lucky enough to be born in the spring and summer months, you may find a birthday party held at one of Dalyellup’s beautiful landscaped parks a great option. Better still, you can go home to a clean house with exhausted kids who will certainly sleep well that night!

Below we list our top locations for birthday parties within Dalyellup Beach, and some tips to help your party run smoothly.

  1. Sherwood Park

Location: Sherwood Dr, Dalyellup WA 6230

Sherwood Park offers playground equipment and lots of space for kids to run around.

Why not set up some funky bean bags, colourful picnic rugs and oversized cushions for guests. If you don’t have these handy at home, plenty of smaller event companies hire them out. Don’t forget a big esky filled with ice and ample water for kids spending the day running and playing.

  1. The Fish Park

Location: 187/189 Maidment Parade, Dalyellup WA 6230

Located beside the central lakes, the Fish Park at Dalyellup has a collection of play equipment, paths perfect for biking and skating and lush grassed areas for you to set up a picnic.

For younger kids, why not look at a Teddy Bear Picnic themed party with simple party games like pass the parcel. Other easy games no matter what age you’re catering for include relays, egg and spoon races, pass the parcel, donuts on a string or giant puzzles like Connect4 and Jenga which can be hired.

  1. Beach Park

Party food which is easy to transport, not too messy and doesn’t need heating could include things like cold mini quiches, fairybread and chocolate and honey crackles. Cupcakes are also a very easy alternative to a single birthday cake, as you won’t need plates and forks!

Ferndale Park closer to the Dalyellup Beach estate entrance and commercial precinct, right next door to . With a great little playground, trees and grass you can be very creative with party activities here.

A piñata is always a fun idea, as well as bubble blowing equipment. You could hang decorations from trees around the party area too.

Don’t forget the birthday party staples such as a first aid kit with plenty of bandaids (just in case!), suncream and a roll of loo paper.

You’ll also want to bring plenty of plates and cups and some extra towels, paper towels and baby wipes for cleaning up the party area (and the kids) when you’re done. Here are some handy sites which have decorations and theme ideas:
