December has arrived and that means Christmas is just around the corner! At homes across Heron Park, Christmas trees are being displayed in living rooms and beautiful decorations installed to elevations, ready for Mr. Cringle's arrival. 

Shopping centres, supermarkets, parks and community areas are abundant with Christmas lights and holiday festivities you can be a part of. To make sure you don't miss out on all the festive holiday fun happening now, close to Heron Park, we've put together the ultimate Christmas lights guide for your 2019 celebrations. 

Christmas Light Events

City of South Perth

Enjoy the lighting of the tree at the Old Mill in South Perth on Saturday 30th November and get involved with some Christmas carols too to really get you into the festive spirit and maybe even a visit from Santa!

Mt Lawley 

Mt Lawley will be switching on their Christmas tree lights on 8th December with an afternoon and evening of fun activities planned before 'lights on' at 8pm! Take a trip to enjoy some food stalls and carols throughout the evening. 

Perth CBD

The city is a great place to start when it comes to enjoying the festive season. This year, you can enjoy the Christmas lights trail throughout the city with 27 Christmas light installations lighting up every evening.

Shopping Centre Events

Armadale Shopping City

Armadale has a lot of festivities planned in for the lead up to Christmas, including free entertainment for the kids throughout the whole of December and Santa photography too! There's plenty to get involved with and get the whole family excited for Christmas. 

Cockburn Central

Plenty is happening all day, every day at Cockburn, with garden games including mini-golf available every Sunday. There's also carol singers from Friday to Sunday, so pop down and support your local community and get festive at the same time! 

Garden City

Garden City is hosting many events this Christmas for you and the family to get involved with, including a 'Sip N' Shop' on Thursday 5th December with Christmas themed refreshments and live music. It's a great way to get into the festive spirit, get a head start on some Christmas shopping and catch up with friends! 

Fremantle CBD

If you're looking for festive fun, Fremantle is certainly the place to head this festive season. From Christmas markets to their Christmas Carnival on 7th December with a number of food trucks, face painting and live music, they've got it all going on! 

Christmas Theatre and Ballet

His Majesty's Theatre

His Majesty's has many options for festive shows this December, including Alice in Wonderland until 15th December and A Festive Jamboree for 3 days from 12th to 14th December. 

WA Symphony

This year, the WA Symphony will be heading to Langley Park to bring their Christmas cheer on 14th December. It's set to be a wonderful evening with 150 performers on stage, including special guests! It's suitable for all ages so take the whole family down to enjoy the Christmas classics!

WA Ballet

WA Ballet are bringing a Christmas special this year with Alice in Wonderland available until 15th December. It's sure to be a magical performance and includes live music provided by the WA Philharmonic Orchestra. Tickets are likely to go fast for this one so be quick so you don't miss out! 

Carols by Candlelight

Carols by Candlelight are always a great way to get festive and have the whole family join in too. The City of Armadale is hosting an event alongside their Christmas Parade on Friday 6th December whereby community choirs will be in full voice and you can join in too! 

Fremantle will also be hosting a Carols by Candlelight event on 15th December with a number of Children's activities taking place and food stalls too! 

Best Decorated Local Houses

102 Riverside Lane, Seville Grove

Fundraising for Animal Protection, 102 Riverside Lane have a musical light show from 7.30pm every night in December until Christmas Day. 

8 Kennack Vista, Atwell

Kennack Vista is raising money for Alzheimers WA this year with a multi-coloured walkway. A snow machine will be on display closer to Christmas. 

27 Baumea Turn, Hammond Park

Fundraising for Perth Children's Hospital, Baumea Turn is not to be missed. Well known for its Christmas lights there will be plenty of colour and an inflatable Santa!
