Klub Kinkuna is arriving at Allara this January

The third consecutive year of Klub Kinkuna will be taking place on Thursday 17th January between 10am and 2pm. The annual event has been a big hit with Allara residents and the wider community with over 500 attendees each year. The event has been designed with entertainment in mind with waterslides, water obstacle course, dunk tank, water pistol fights and more for locals to enjoy!

Allara community partner The Joondalup Wolves will be providing a free basketball clinic for children to join on the Allara multi-courts. Since the beginning of Allara’s three-year sponsorship with The Joondalup Wolves, they have joined over 5 events at Allara, providing residents with the opportunity to experience coaching and fun on the courts. The longer-term 3-year partnership has been brokered through the Allara Community Grants Program and is part of a commitment to help the community grow and become self-sustainable over time.

Little residents will be entertained too with the 2019 addition of a toddler paddle pool for little ones to cool off and splash around while their older siblings tackle the water obstacle course. Of course, alongside the range of activities is Kinkuna Park, Allara’s resident playground complete with waterplay feature; perfect to cool off on warm summer days.

Food and drinks will be available for residents to purchase, while music will be played throughout the park providing summer afternoon vibes for our adult residents to enjoy.

“Klub Kinkuna is one of our favourite events to deliver in the community. We always have such great support from the community and hundreds of residents; Allara locals and the wider community who come along to enjoy the range of activities we have on offer. We believe community events like Klub Kinkuna provide our residents with the opportunity to engage with their neighbours, make friends and connections and love where they live” advises Community Development Office, Katie Dixon.
