Beaches Close to Cassia

Kwinana Beach

Just a short five-minute drive from Cassia, Kwinana Beach is your local beach destination with ample fishing opportunities at the jetty and Wells Park. Kwinana Beach also offers picnic and barbecue facilities. The beach has a charming industrial feel with views of the nearby shipping terminal in the distance. At the southern end of the beach, you’ll also find the Wreck of SS Kwinana, a ship that started its journey from England in 1892! 

Coogee Beach

A 20-minute drive north to Cockburn will see you arrive at Coogee Beach with a jetty! There are barbecue facilities and a number of cafes nearby to enjoy while you partake in a day of beach action. Coogee also has a netted swimming area, ideal for anyone looking to swim safely. 

CY O’Connor Beach 

Just slightly further beyond Coogee, you’ll find CY O’Connor Beach. CY O'Connor Beach is perfect for dog walkers as the beach is quiet with space for your pooch to run and swim freely. Kick back with a picnic or barbecue while you're enjoying beach adventures.

Rockingham Beach

A popular location for both locals and tourists, Rockingham Beach is the place to go if you’re looking to try watersports! From kayaking to paddle boarding, the activities make a fun, adrenalin-filled day out for the whole family enjoy. The foreshore has a number of facilities including areas for picnic and barbecues as well as playgrounds for the little ones to enjoy. 

Challengers Beach

A smaller beach but with just as much beauty as the larger beaches, Challengers Beach is perfect for dogs to run around and swim with its often quiet atmosphere and peaceful setting. The jetty is also great for fishing. Grab a picnic and head down during the early evening to enjoy a wonderful view and sunset walk.

Woodman Point

The beach at Woodman Point is another area perfect for dogs with specific areas on the beach suitable for your pooch. The jetty also provides one of Perth’s most popular scuba diving sites with its 100m stretch out into the ocean. Set back from the beach you’ll also find Woodman Point Regional Park with bush walking, cycle trails, playgrounds and picnic areas.
