Eden Beach estate is thrilled to be supporting local small businesses through a range of upcoming initiatives delivered in partnership with the Wanneroo Business Association.

As a founding supporter of the Wanneroo Business Association (WBA) established in 1999, Satterley remains a member and encourages local businesses to benefit from the networking, advocacy and professional development opportunities the organisation offers, particularly for small and home-based businesses that may have limited resources in-house.

Satterley Community Development Coordinator, Meredyth Morgan, said that when local businesses thrive, communities thrive.

“There are over 12,000 small business owners in the City of Wanneroo and we want to help those based in Eden Beach in particular feel supported and connected in their community.”

COVID-19 has impacted the business landscape with more people choosing to start a home-based business or adapting their businesses to operate from home. Partnering with the Wanneroo Business Association is a great way for Satterley to support these businesses to succeed.

Eden Beach business owners and residents are invited to come along to one of the WBA’s popular Coffee Catch Ups at The Beach House, Jindalee, on Thursday 11 November, to connect with other local business owners. By simply attending the event, businesses located in the estate will have the chance to go in the draw to win an annual WBA membership valued at $360, with two additional subsidised memberships as door prizes, all sponsored by Eden Beach.

Wanneroo Business Association General Manager, Lauren Bell, said that WBA membership offers a lot to local business owners.

“Eden Beach residents will be able to gain access to our experienced and thriving community of over 450 businesses to network, generate leads, share their knowledge, upskill and promote and grow their business. We are grateful to be able to extend these benefits to new members thanks to the support from Satterley and Eden Beach estate,” she said.

WBA member and Owner/Founder of Execute Marketing, Agatha Fonseca, who operates her business from her home in Eden Beach estate encourages other local businesses to get involved.

“It’s great that opportunities for networking and membership are being made available to business owners in the estate. Being part of the WBA has been a really worthwhile investment for me and I am sure that others will find that too,” said Agatha.

As a previous category sponsor in the City of Wanneroo Business Awards, Eden Beach estate is all for seeing more local success stories celebrated. Through the partnership, resident business owners can access additional assistance from the WBA with award submissions, which close this year on Monday 18 October.

These new partnership activities in support of the Eden Beach business community are in addition to established programs such as low-cost venue hire of The Studio @ Eden Beach, a co-use space located behind the sales office, sponsorships for stallholders in the upcoming Kanga Markets, and involving local providers in community events within the estate.

The Studio @ Eden Beach is a popular contemporary community space for sporting or leisure activities and meetings

Beach Blonde Brownies is a great example of a start-up business that has made the most of exposure opportunities through Eden Beach events,” said Satterley’s Ms Morgan.

“They’ve joined us as stallholders on multiple occasions and the hamper that they supplied as a major prize in one of our competitions went down a real treat!”

The Eden Beach Community Team plans on unearthing and showcasing the range of local products and services that are on offer within the estate in a ‘Support Local’ expo style event later in the financial year. Local business owners can register their interest at the November Coffee Catch Up event or by emailing community@satterley.com.au.
