Must Visit Wineries close to Provence

The South West is renowned for beautiful scenery, unrivalled coastal landscape and delicious wineries! With Dunsborough and the greater Margaret River region so close by, Provence Estate is located close to some world-famous wineries and breweries. These destinations are perfect for a weekend day trip, lunch with the family or a romantic staycation with your other half.

There are so many beautiful and local spots to choose from so we’ve put together a guide to help you choose the next winery or brewery for your day out enjoying the idyllic south west.

Busselton

Rocky Ridge Brewing Co. are located in Busselton town centre, close to the jetty. Named after a family farm, Rocky Ridge Brewing Co's vision stems from a university student wanting beer and deciding to brew his own. Eight years later the company is flying and invites you to taste the brews they are so passionate about. There’s plenty to try at the cellar door with a large range of ales and beers available to try, from limited edition brews including the White Buffalo or Plum Edition, to their core range. They also offer takeaways for you to enjoy their deliciously brewed pleasures from home.

Flametree Wines, located between Busselton and Dunsborough, offer a range of wines to taste including vintage and museum wines. A visit to Flametree Wines means you’ll also get the opportunity to make your own platter and see the impressive building within which Flametree calls home. Here you’ll find an open fire, local art and a large lawn for children run and play on.

Dunsborough

Blind Corner just out of Dunsborough offers tastings of their seven wines, set in beautiful wineries with stunning views from their outdoor seating area, overlooking the vineyards. You’ll also be able to take a look at their fermenting room and see the bottling line for the full experience from vineyard to bottle! They’re open seven days a week, so there is no excuse not to visit these guys on your next Dunsborough day trip. Blind Corner's communal cellar door space is unique and social!

Aravina Estate located in Yallingup is a vintage winery whose vineyards were first planted in 1983! With many wines produced and available for tasting, it’s certainly a must-visit for anyone enthusiastic about wines and history. The tasting room also offers cheese tastings and a five-course lunch menu offering something for a quick stop or a full day graze. Be sure to visit the surf museum and vintage car collection also located at the winery!

Mongrel Creek Vineyard is well renowned for its small yet beautiful cellar door with a rustic atmosphere and a number of wines on offer to taste. Located on the outskirts of Dunsborough, it’s highly recommended as a place for delicious tastings and delightful cellar door experience. When we say this is the most adorable cellar door ever, we mean it!

Deep Woods Estate produces award-winning wines and hosts exceptional tastings at their cellar door in Yallingup. Their staff members will talk you through each wine allowing you explore the taste in detail. You can also bring your picnic to enjoy in their outdoor area which has breathtaking views, ideal for a summer day along with a chilled bottle of something you fancy from their selection.

If you’re heading to the wineries and looking for a lunch spot, check out Goanna Gallery and Cafe, where you can bring your own drink, a bottle from one of the cellars perhaps, and enjoy a delicious lunch in a rustic venue with something on the menu for everyone.
