New $2.4 Million Park Opens in Upper Point Cook

Satterley Property Group celebrated the opening of a brand new one-hectare park in their residential community, Upper Point Cook with a free community event on Saturday 16 March 2019.

Part of the larger Bensonhurst Parade Reserve being delivered by Council, the $2.4 million park along Bensonhurst Parade in Upper Point Cook features all-ages play facilities such as a 10-metre custom-built tower slide, children’s playground, 25-metre flying fox, half basketball court, mini soccer pitch, skate boarding facilities and large grassed kick-about area.

For those wanting a community space to relax with friends and family, there are also barbeque facilities, shaded seating, free WIFI and toilets within the park.

“The new park has already generated a lot of excitement from residents in Upper Point Cook, who have followed the construction closely,” said Jack Hoffmann, Satterley’s General Manager for Victoria and Queensland.

“Young people and families from the local area now have a space to participate in an array of outdoor activities, from shooting hoops and skateboarding to soccer, and taking the plunge on the huge 10m spiral slide.”

The free family event held on Saturday 16 March was attended by close to 1,000 people who enjoyed free food truck snacks, skateboarding and break-dancing workshops, a jumping castle, face painters, kid’s games, giveaways from Nova 100 and a live DJ spinning tracks!
