Pakenham East - a new precinct with so much to offer

Satterley will start selling land in July for their latest masterplanned community in Melbourne’s south-east.

Maple Grove, which will eventually be home to around 3,200 residents, will be located off Ryan Road and offer easy access to Princes Freeway, within Melbourne’s newest precinct, Pakenham East.

As we approach the launch of the community, we’ve put together a summary of the soon-to-be suburb and everything it provides for residents.

According to the Precinct Structure Plan, the document that guides the development of an area, Pakenham East will cover 630 hectares, more than one fifth of which will be dedicated to open space, including 43 hectares for parks and sport reserves.

The suburb will also include three new government schools – including a primary school located within Maple Grove – as well as one new non-government school. There will be three community centres accommodating health, safety and wellbeing services; a town centre, as well as the much-anticipated Pakenham East Railway Station, which will be built between Deep Creek and the Princes Freeway, just 500 metres from Maple Grove.

Lorraine Hibl, Satterley’s Sales Professional for Maple Grove, and a long-time resident of Melbourne’s south-east, says that the new community will put residents next door to, or within easy reach of, the very best that the new precinct will have to offer.

“New amenity is incredibly important, and there is a lot coming to the Pakenham East Precinct. Within Maple Grove alone, there’s a proposed primary school, community activity centre, parks and a wetland. A proposed shopping centre will be adjacent to the community and there will also be a major commercial hub nearby.

“The new train station, which is set to be taking passengers by the end of 2024, will be less than a kilometre away from Maple Grove. It’s easy to get to the city, but it also puts you within minutes of some of the best walking tracks in the region, as well as renowned wineries, the seaside reserves that surround Western Port Bay and many other attractions loved by holidaymakers.”

Lorraine said that Maple Grove would be the ideal location for young families, who will enjoy the convenience as well as the greenery.

“This is a new area, but there is so much already nearby. There are established schools in Pakenham and Beaconsfield that are less than ten minutes away in the car. And Pakenham central has so much to offer – shopping, medical services, play centres, transport, and a lot more.”

Construction on Maple Grove is scheduled to commence in September of this year.
