Say hello to Seaside's first resident, Josh

Joshua is one of the first residents to experience the idyllic coastal lifestyle at Seaside, after recently moving into his first home in Madora Bay.

A local to the Mandurah region, Josh stumbled across Seaside Estate while driving through the area.

“I drove past Seaside while the first stage was being developed and thought it would be a great place to live and start the next chapter of my life by moving out of the family home and becoming a homeowner myself," said Josh.

“I like that the estate is close to Lakelands Shopping Centre with lovely cafes and restaurants, as well as schools, sporting facilities and the beach all within walking distance of each other. It has everything you could want and more,” he added.

It also helps that Josh plays for the North Mandurah Football Club, which is conveniently located across the road in Lakelands.

“I’ve been playing football for the club for 14 years now, starting out in the junior club when I was 9. Our clubrooms are now located at Lakelands Park, just across the road from Seaside, so I’m never far from my training sessions which makes life easy,” said Josh.

Despite being a young first home buyer in his early 20’s, Josh recognised the importance of building with the future in mind and opted for a larger, 445sqm lot in Seaside’s Stage 1 release.

“I decided to build with Home Group and chose a 4x2 with a theatre and scullery to last me for many years to come. It’s an amazing house and I couldn’t be any happier with it,” said Josh.

Whilst embarking on the exciting home building journey allowed Josh the flexibility to choose a new home that suited his busy lifestyle, he revealed he found the process a little nerve-racking at times.

“I never thought I would have the chance to move out of home this early in my life, let alone build my first home, so I was nervous at times, but overall, I felt ready and excited,” said Josh.

“Luckily for me, it only took about 7 months from slab down to getting the keys to my first home.

“It was great to go through the process from scratch and build a home that is close to everything I enjoy, while still looking nice and being low maintenance.

“I was born and raised in Mandurah and my family still live there, so it’s great that I’m just a short drive away from them,” he said.

Josh added he is looking forward to seeing the Seaside community grow and become a friendly family environment with more parks and a new primary school opening soon.

“From what I’ve seen so far, the estate is off to an amazing start. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet and it would be awesome for young couples and families!”

“I’m loving the Seaside lifestyle so far and I can’t wait to see what the future in my new home holds for me personally,” added Josh.
