School Holiday Activities near you at Eden Beach

The October school holidays are nearly here and there is so much for children of all ages to enjoy near your home at Eden Beach! The City of Wanneroo is hosting a range of free and low cost activities your little, or not so little one can enjoy with arts, crafts, sports and workshops for children and youths up to 18 years.

1) Free Library Workshops

At libraries throughout the City, Uthando Doll Workshop’s and Discover the Rhythm and Power of African Drumming Workshops are held, free for residents! Learn about other cultures during the school holidays. Bookings are free but essential. To secure your place and see the range of venues, visit the City of Wanneroo’s website.

2) Sports Holiday Programs

Kingsway School Holiday Programs are hosted at Kingsway Indoor Stadium and offer a range of activities for children in the community to enjoy. From soccer to netball to tennis to dance, there is an activity for everyone, with every interest to enjoy. Explore the costs and timetable on the City of Wanneroo’s website.

3) Youth Holiday Programs

If you have a teenager under your roof, the City has a range of youth friendly activities to keep them entertained during the October school holidays. Ultimate Frisbee, Cooking Workshops and Lego Building days are only a taste of some of the teen-friendly workshops on offer all close by your home at Eden Beach.

4) Local Community Activities

Your neighbours at Allara Estate in Eglinton are hosting their regular Klub Kinkuna event on October 3rd. Enjoy a day of sports, a massive obstacle course, food, drink and entertainment as the Satterley team host a day suitable for the whole family; and only a short drive from Eden Beach. Held in the centre of the community, Kinkuna Park is complete with unique play zones, BBQ facilities, fitness and water play elements.

5) Stay local

If staying local is on your to-do list these school holidays, it’s easy to do here at Eden Beach. Pack a picnic or BBQ essentials and head to the Eden Beach Foreshore Park and Playground to spend a day in a family-fun-filled space that caters for children of all age groups and overlooks the beachfront and foreshore. Complete your day by taking a stroll to the conversation area to explore nature and take in the beautiful Indian Ocean views.

6) Think outside the box
