Education and Amenities aplenty at Heron Park, Harrisdale

Heron Park is well known for its vibrancy, leafy neighbourhood, and fast-growing community. Once complete, Satterley’s Harrisdale community will be home to around 4,600 residents.

With so many families seeking to call Heron Park home, education and the surrounding infrastructure have been developed over the past few years and will continue to enhance in the years to come. Education has been a primary concentration for Harrisdale, ensuring the growing families can live the lifestyle they dream of in the heart of Harrisdale.

It’s easy to see why Heron Park has been such a hit with residence since its inception in 2005. Time and time again our residents and prospective residents comment on the proximity to the CBD, friendly neighbourhood and most importantly the education and amenities Heron Park and wider Harrisdale have so prevalently.

Residents have access to a number of schools ranging from child care centres to secondary schools and universities, ensuring their home at Heron Park really is a home for life. Many schools within the Harrisdale area are relatively new and have undergone significant investment in keeping their facilities new and enticing for our children to achieve their potential. Harrisdale Primary School saw over $15 million of investment funds and after opening in 2016, now provides education for students from kindergarten to year 6.

Similarly, Harrisdale High School opened in 2017 after $61 million worth of investment, priding themselves on their commitment to high standards and ability to bring out the best in every learner. The school has top of the range facilities including a science centre and art studio and has taking interior design inspiration from the surrounding bushland, connecting nature and education.

As a Heron Park resident, your education options are endless, from little one’s childcare to school to university and further education you’re within easy reach of fulfilling your potential with the benefit of easy access, great transport links and a great variety of educational institutions.

Not only are the education options varied and in great supply, but infrastructure within Harrisdale generally is now one of the main motivators to purchase within the Satterley community. Great investment has catapulted the suburb into being one of the most in-demand communities today, seeing a variety of young couples and families choosing to call Heron Park home.

Located in the core of Harrisdale, the Harrisdale Pavillion (take a virtual tour) is the City of Armadale’s newest facility with three ovals, cricket nets, multi-purpose courts and community centre. Since its completion in 2017, residents in the local community have been able to enjoy the $8 million facility.

Harrisdale Shopping Centre, which opened in 2016 is home to some of Western Australia’s biggest retailers including Aldi and Woolworths. With a further 30 speciality stores and a dining precinct, the Harrisdale Shopping Centre has bought a wealth of choice to the community and is the shopping destination of choice for many Heron Park residents.

Forrestdale Business Park (FBP) is situated directly south of Harrisdale and spans over 330 hectares. The precinct is still developing and when complete will accommodate a range of commercial and industrial businesses; big and small. Once finished FBP will create up to 15,000 jobs, driving economic growth to Perth’s South-East and providing a wealth of opportunities to Heron Park residents.

Placed between Tonkin Highway and Armadale Road FBP has connections to major transit links including Perth Airport, Fremantle Port and Kwinana Port Freight Terminal.*
