Not one, not two, but three siblings will become some of the first residents to experience Myella, the charming new lakeside community taking shape in Wanneroo.

Danae, Tayla and Aaron Woodcock grew up on a property only a few steps away from Satterley’s newest estate, Myella. The family property was originally purchased by their grandparents, Theo and Hanneke Puik, in 1971. Theo, a landscape architect who had designed botanic gardens with his father in Europe, had the incredible vision to turn the 5-acres of scrub land into his dream mini-golf garden, and after years of gruelling work, Wanneroo Botanic Gardens officially opened in 1981.

Since 1994, Wanneroo Botanic Gardens has been owned and operated by Theo and Hanneke’s daughter, Nicole, and her husband – Paul Woodcock. In 1998 the pair opened Leapfrogs (formerly Leapfrogs Café) and have since gone on to purchase Perth’s Outback Splash (formerly The Maze) and Kerem Adventure Camp. The couple have lived at the family property ever since with their three children.

The sibling trio are now set to become neighbours at Myella, just metres away from the family business, currently enjoyed by more than 350,000 visitors each year. “It’s been a blessing to watch our parents continue what our grandparents started and we have learnt so much from them and their journey,” said Danae.

“To us, family business means putting in the hard yards, sharing the wins, always being there for each other and enjoying lots of family fun.”

When asked about continuing the family legacy, Danae confirmed the siblings “would love to keep the business in the family.”

“It’s definitely something we would consider and certainly not off the cards for the future. Our brother, Aaron, is involved in the business working in the parks with our dad, and they both love working together."

The siblings, along with their partners, Eleanor, Michail and Nathan, are all first homebuilders who have chosen Myella for its convenient location and natural surrounds.

“We weren’t originally planning on buying our first home so soon, however with a location as beautiful as Myella, it was a great opportunity to get our foot in the door of the housing market,” said Danae. Danae purchased a well-positioned 375sqm lot opposite the tranquil Yellagonga Regional Park with her partner, Michail. Her decision to purchase in the estate was backed by her confidence in the Satterley brand. “We know Satterley has an eye for detail and puts in the extra effort to make estates look and feel amazing,” she said.

The trio hadn’t planned on living in the same estate initially, but Tayla said it simply “worked out that way.”

“Everyone was interested in beautiful bushland living, close to the coast, our work and family,” she said.
