Busselton School Holidays Ideas 2019 at Provence Estate

Summer is just around the corner with warmer days, light evenings and the school holidays upon us! Provence offers so much to do on the estate and just a short drive away, it’s a great place to enjoy the summer holidays with activities and amenities the whole family will enjoy.

Planning each day can be tricky, especially with different interests and ages to cater for. We’ve pulled together a directory of our favourite activities for you to try this summer with the kids. Fun, low cost and destined to entertain!

Head to the Lakeside Park

Located within Provence is Lakeside Park with a large playground, lake and scenic bridge. Take a rug, picnic and some sunscreen and head down for the afternoon to give everyone some fresh air and enjoy your local park.

Spend the day at Bunbury Wildlife Park

Bunbury is just a 30 minute drive from Provence and Bunbury Wildlife Park is a great place to see all your favourite animals in once place. Plus the kids can feed the birds and get up close and personal with kangaroos giving them an experience they won’t forget! Entry for kids is just $5.50 so it’s a low cost way to have some fun in the local area.

Spend the day at Busselton Beachfront

The closest beach to Provence, Busselton Foreshore is ideal for the family with a netted swimming area and a BBQ and picnic area it’s a great place to spend the day. Grab some burgers, sunscreen and towels and head down to the beach and enjoy some time in the water cooling off before firing up the BBQ for some lunch. You'll also find The Equinox Restaurant & Bar and The Goose on the foreshore for delicious, casual dining with views of the famous Busselton Jetty.

Cook a meal as a family

Learning cooking basics from a young age is an invaluable skill. Head to the Busselton Western Growers Fresh to grab some fresh local ingredients before cooking a family favourite together like Lasagne or Fajitas. Throw in some ice cream for dessert with a movie and make an evening of it!

Head to Gravity for some trampolining fun!

Located just south of Bunbury, Gravity is a trampoline park that has 7 different areas and a soft play area for younger kids. It’s an ideal place for everyone to burn off some energy, have fun and enjoy a great day. There’s even a parent retreat and cafe so perfect for the whole family!

Have an afternoon painting

Painting is a low cost way to get creative and spend time together. Head to Kmart and grab some paints, brushes and paper and encourage your kids to paint their favourite animal or location. If you’re brave enough, add some glitter too for a sparkling summer afternoon!

Hold a Tea Party in the Garden

Your garden is a great place to enjoy the summer without needing to leave the comfort of your own home. Grab some blankets, a few cushions and make a boho style scene in the garden. You can enjoy a simple tea party with a few cakes and sandwiches and even invite some friends over too!
