One of the many wonders of living at Dalyellup Beach is being surrounded by nature. Beautiful natural landscapes surround on one side, while coastal views greet you on the other; it’s the perfect balance of tranquil suburbia and coastal hideaway, while still being a short trip to all the amenities your family needs.

There are so many nature spaces to explore. The list is endless. We compiled a list of our top 5 spots for you to pop on your adventure itinerary. Tick them off weekend by weekend with friends or family and explore this beautiful part of WA we’ve chosen to call home.

    1. TUART FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Home to the rare western ringtail possum, the Tuart Forest National Park is one of our favourite weekend relaxation spots. Bushwalk through nature, bring a picnic to enjoy under the tall trees. The Tuart tree is a coastal tree, occurring only in the narrow belt found in our region; one of the reasons the Tuart Forest National Park is one of the rarest forests in the world.

    1. CAPEL RIVER
The Capel River is the largest in the Geographe catchment and is the perfect spot for an afternoon of canoeing. A popular spot close to the ocean is the Leschenault Estuary and Inlet which is 13.5kms in length and is protected. Nearby Koombana Bay often welcomes dolphins you can enjoy too!

    1. FOREST ADVENTURES SOUTH WEST
If adrenaline is more your thing, Forest Adventures is the place to be. High rope courses and flying foxes, set high among the majestic trees of the legendary Ludlow Tuart Forest. Not only is this attraction picturesque, its also close to Dalyellup Beach Estate and perfect for a family day out. With over 77 different obstacles, there is something for everyone!

    1. IRONSTONE GULLY FALLS
Pack a picnic filled with your favourite treats and enjoy overlooking the Ironstone Gully Falls. Beautiful wildflowers are here during Spring, Summer and Autumn, so bring your camera and enjoy the natural WA delights. The beautiful falls drop over a ledge of nine metres which is a pretty spectacular view for a spot of lunch or date with your significant other.

    1. WALKING TRAILS
Dalyellup Beach is surrounded by beautiful nature spots for you to enjoy and explore. The Preston River Ramble, Joshua Brook, Dalyellup Lakes and the Gelorup walk trails are a few of our favourite  spots for the day. The Preston River Ramble is a short 1.8km loop with cultural interpretation of the local area and includes the Waugyl Sculpture. The Dalyellup Lakes trail features an 80m timber boardwalk, viewing shelter and interpretive panels that feature local wildlife.
