VIRTUALLY TOGETHER - An Exciting Program Wrap Up

Satterley’s ‘Virtually Together’ program launched in March 2020 to keep residents connected within their communities during the challenging COVID-19 times. Satterley’s in-house Community Development team were devastated to have had to cancel so many community programs and so set about a program of events and activities to recreate the special moments our residents know and love!

The jam-packed program included a variety of activities residents big and small could be involved in. Across several communities including Allara, Eden Beach, Catalina, Heron Park, Honeywood and Dalyellup Beach over 1,453 residents participated - a fantastic result.

Over nine activities took place over the 12 weeks and included fun activities the whole family could be involved with including; community kindness cards, a virtually together movie night showing family favourite, Storks, ice cream van visits, front yard kite flying, a mobile coffee run, a driveway dawn service to commemorate ANZAC Day and a Mothers Day e-storybook initiative.

Alongside these activities, the Virtually Together team shared a range of home fun hacks to inspire residents to get crafty, travel the world virtually and to give back to their community in meaningful ways.

“We have been delighted with the positive feedback about our Virtually Together program,” said Satterley community development manager, Amy Blundell.

“From residents, suppliers, colleagues and development partners, they’ve all commended the way that Satterley has responded and supported our communities during a time of unprecedented isolation and uncertainty,” she said.

“Our team have had so much fun conjuring up all the fun ideas to keep people together, but apart. It just goes to show that there are so many ways of keeping things lively without necessarily having to do a large community event.”

“We know how much people love Satterley events, so we can’t wait to get back out in our parks and playgrounds with markets, food trucks, outdoor movies and the like, but I can see us incorporating more ‘virtually together’ style home-based activities into our regular community programs in the future as well.”

As we round up these fun-filled activity, there is one more you can still be involved in! The #ForNature challenge has launched across participating Satterley communities which ties into the World Environment Day. Residents are encouraged to download their Challenge Map and begin and adventure hunt searching for the items on the list. After, share your findings on your estates Facebook page, to go in with a chance to win an amazing prize!
