Driving to and from The Glades

Nestled at the foothills of the Darling Scarp, The Glades is a place where you can enjoy the picturesque natural surrounds while still being connected to it all.

You’re only 35 minutes to both Perth city and Perth Airport. Easily access links to other major centres through the Tonkin Highway, just five minutes away, and the Kwinana Freeway, fifteen minutes away.

An upgrade to Orton Road is currently under construction and once complete, will provides residents with direct access to the future Tonkin Highway.

Tonkin Highway Extension

Planning is currently underway for the Main Roads Tonkin Highway extension, which sees a 14km, four lane dual carriageway extension of the Tonkin Highway from Thomas Road through to South Western Highway. The extra lanes are expected to improve traffic flow, streamlining the critical transport link from Muchea to Mundijong.

When completed, this new addition will see congestion in the area reduced, allowing residents to enjoy much faster travel times to and from the city—and you can get home to your family sooner.

Train lines to The Glades

The closest train station to The Glades is the new Byford Station. Situated less than five minutes’ drive from The Glades, and 400m north of Abernethy Road, it connects residents to the Perth CBD in a seamless 42-minute train ride along the Armadale line. With 400 parking spots available, the new Byford Station makes it easy to get where you need to go.

The Kwinana Station is less than 20 minutes’ drive west of The Glades. Sitting on the Mandurah-Perth rail line, residents have the option to head into the city, or further south to Mandurah, allowing easy access to places the Armadale line can’t reach.

Buses to and from The Glades

The main bus service that stops near The Glades is Bus Route 254. This route runs from Clifton Street Before South West Highway to Armadale Station Stand 4.

The bus typically operates between 05:52AM – 19:11PM on weekdays, between 06:42AM – 17:09PM on Saturdays, and between 08:58AM – 17:09PM on Sundays.

Cycling and walking in The Glades

The Glades features a network of walkways and cycle paths that flow through 60 hectares of natural bushland, landscaped parks, and grassed open areas with playgrounds, sports facilities, and fitness equipment.

Residents can also walk to Byford Village via a direct pathway.
