Watering days

Finding your watering days is easy with the Water Corporation website! Simply type in your street number and postcode for your designated days.

No matter the time of year or where you live, remember to stick to your watering roster and only water once, either before 9am or after 6pm, on your allocated watering days, even if you use a garden bore.

Caring for your verge

The verge, or nature strip, is the area between your property boundary and the edge of the road. As the repair and maintenance of reticulation and the upkeep of the front verge of the property is the responsibility of the purchaser, The City of Busselton provides guidelines to assist residents with caring for this area or carrying out landscaping or improvements.

Visit the City of Busselton website for further information and to download guidelines.

New garden exemptions

You can apply for an exemption if you are installing a new garden or a new lawn, including roll-on lawn, runners, shredded lawn and seed. Both manual and automatic irrigation will qualify for an exemption.

Visit the Water Corporation website to apply for an exemption.

Environmentally friendly gardening

The Geographe Catchment Council (GeoCatch) is a community based natural resource management body concerned about the health of the Geographe Catchment.

Visit the Bay OK gardening page on their website for heaps of information and resources to assist gardeners in the Geographe Bay area to nurture their soil, use less fertiliser, conserve water and enhance biodiversity.
