As Christmas disappears for another year, it’s time to start planning for the next big event! Valentines Day, celebrated each year on 14th February, is a great way to celebrate the special someone in your life. Celebrated all over the world, there’s a number of different ways people celebrate from fancy three course meals to romantic spa weekends! Close to Honeywood, there are many places and ways to celebrate the day with your 'special someone'. We’ve put together some ideas to inspire your Valentines date.

Enjoy a Special Dinner

Valentines day is a great excuse to enjoy a romantic meal somewhere new! There are lots of spots popular with locals, ideal for a night of delicious food and romance! Here are a few suggestions:

Spicy Tandoor is a great option if you’re looking for an Indian option for the evening, located just a short drive away in Success, the restaurant offers everything you would expect with an exclusive Indian menu. They also offer a takeaway menu if you’re looking for a relaxing night on the sofa!

The Quarie Bar & Brasserie is the perfect place if you’re after a traditional menu with everything on offer including share platters, perfect for a romantic night. A stylish venue with a casual atmosphere, it’s located in Hammond Park just north of Honeywood.

The Boatshed Restaurant, located near to South Perth foreshore, is ideal if you’re looking for a more romantic evening towards the City. With panoramic views of the river and the city itself, the setting is the perfect backdrop for valentines. The menu features a range of options from delicious beef to locally caught fresh fish.

Have a Picnic at the District Playing Fields

If you’re looking forward to Valentines but want to stay closer to home or to enjoy a more relaxing evening, then why not enjoy a picnic at the nearby district playing fields whilst enjoying the sunset? With plenty of space to relax, pick up some of your favourite foods, grab a blanket and head down to enjoy time with each other!

Take a Romantic Walk with the Dogs

It’s safe to say that for many families, the dogs are well loved in the home, sometimes even the most loved! Valentines doesn’t have to just be about each other, so head for a walk to one of the many parks around the estate and bring the dogs along to enjoy some fresh air together.

Enjoy a day at the Winery’s

If you’re looking to make a day of Valentines this year, head to Swan Valley to enjoy a range of wines, beers, ciders, cheese and chocolate! Many wineries or breweries offer samples to encourage you to enjoy a number of different drinks throughout the day. To make it even more special, travel around the area on bikes, which are available to hire from Perth Electric Bike Hire for a small cost.

Honeywood’s location offers a range things to do this Valentines no matter what your budget! Whether you’re looking to head into the City or stay closer to home, there’s something for everyone. Have we missed your favourite thing to do for Valentines? Let us know below!
