Bringing the streetscape to life, Gallery features its very own Public Artwork "Nexus". This immersive layered art trail through the public walkways is best viewed at dusk, when the lighting display adds pops of colour and compliments the natural palette.
Representing the intersection of nature and technology, celebrated local artists Chris Nixon and Steve Berrick’s bespoke art and multimedia installation “Nexus” was awarded Silver in the Best Metropolitan Art category at the 2020 Australian Street Art Awards.
With a vision to bring people out of their homes and come together to relish in the beautiful surroundings, Perth-based artists Chris and Steve designed the artwork especially for Gallery.
Multiple Experiences
Influenced by the local flora and fauna and the history of the site as a place of Wilgee clay, Nexus forms part of the City of Melville Art Trail and incorporates painted treatment and lighting design, elevating the artwork for multiple experiences.
