Dalyellup in WA is a suburb in the state’s south-west. More specifically, it’s a suburb within the Shire of Capel. You’ll find it between Bunbury and Busselton, right beside the beautiful south-west coastline. This puts it in a prime spot for enjoying both the perks of a smaller community and the amenities of nearby cities.

Dalyellup is located approximately 10 kilometres south of Bunbury CBD. Dalyellup to Bunbury is a quick 10-15 minute drive, or 25 minutes by bus. Dalyellup to Busselton will take you about 30 minutes in the car. That makes Dalyellup a sweet spot for anyone who wants to enjoy the attractions and amenities of both cities.

Thanks to the nearby Wilman Wadandi Highway (opened in late 2024), driving from Dalyellup to Perth takes around 2 hours. You can also hop on a  TransWA road coach or South West Coach Lines bus from Bunbury. TransWA plans to restart daily train services once line upgrades are complete in mid-2025.

Dalyellup has been growing steadily since Satterley and the State Government broke ground on Dalyellup Beach in 1999, creating a new community. And there’s loads more to come.

We recently announced Wildwood, a new premium precinct in Dalyellup Beach. There will be 146 homesites available less than 500 metres from the waves.

There’s also new infrastructure in development, like a new multipurpose community centre, library, start-up hub, youth space and arts venue. That’s coming in 2026, thanks to $9m in State Government funding.

Dalyellup is a top spot to enjoy the south-west lifestyle. It’s ideal for families because of the schools, parks, and safe streets. You’ve got beautiful beaches and natural walking trails right on your doorstep. Dalyellup Shopping Centre has everything you need, from a full-line Woolies to specialty shops, cafés, and cheap eats. Dalyellup Family Medical Centre is just down the road, beside Dalyellup Community Centre. There are great restaurants in the area, ranging from low-key burger places to world-class wineries and the local favourite Dalyellup Ale House.
