Meet Clementine's first resident

Ms Tepora Puha is the lucky first resident to experience Clementine’s unique country-style charm, having moved into her brand-new home this April.

Tepora’s home building journey started in October 2020 when she met with a sales agent to explore her home buying options. After visiting Satterley’s Clementine estate in Perth’s Upper Swan region, she quickly fell in love with the estate’s vision and feel.

“The area felt homely and welcoming and reminded me of my home in New Zealand. The location is beautiful with green grass and views of the rolling hills,” said Tepora.

Tepora was also drawn to the surrounding area and the amenities it offers.

“My family recommended that I look beyond what the estate offers and research what is available in the local area.

“I was pleased to see there are several schools and shopping options nearby, as well as plans for a proposed local shopping centre and primary school,” added Tepora.

After purchasing a 450sqm lot in Clementine’s Stage 1 release, Tepora began building her new 4×2 home with Highbury Homes in collaboration with Winning Homes. She revealed her building journey took less than 11 months.

“I was very lucky my home build took less than 11 months from slab down to moving in,” said Tepora.

“Being a first home buyer, I didn’t know what to expect in the building process, but in the end, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of it all.

“I received great support from my builder, who kept me informed throughout. We built a great relationship and I felt reassured I made the right decision to build instead of buying an established home,” added Tepora.

Today, the estate is bustling with construction activity as Tepora’s soon-to-be neighbours are nearing their own home completions.

“I’m excited to meet my neighbours and get involved in local events and activities,” said Tepora.

“The estate has a great community feel. Our own community Facebook group means we are all able to share our experiences, ask questions and keep each other in the loop about our homes. Everyone is very friendly.”

Being New Zealand born and bred, Tepora shared she didn’t expect to be putting down roots in WA.

“I thought I would be moving over East to be closer to family in NZ, but I am happy I made the decision to buy in Clementine.

“The estate feels like a safe and welcoming place to raise a family,” she added.
