New mountain bike (MTB) park coming soon to AllaraNews
From 9am – 1pm Kinkuna Park in Allara will be alive in a wealth of activity the whole family can enjoy. The much-loved Kanga markets will be back in the heart of Kinkuna Park with a variety of food, drinks and boutique stalls with local produce to sample and purchase.
To celebrate the start of the warmer spring and summer months, the popular Waterplay will be turned on from this Saturday! A favourite with locals, Kinkuna Park’s Waterplay is available for summer splashes and weekend cool offs from November 2019 through to April 2020. Simply press the button on the floor by the big blue feet to activate the water streams and jets every day between 8 am and 6 pm.
With unique play zones, BBQ facilities, fitness and water play elements, Kinkuna Park provides an interactive experience where you can engage all of your senses and keep the whole family entertained. Pack a picnic and take advantage of the on-site BBQ’s, complete with music and wifi or enjoy the variety of cuisine on offer at food trucks with Kanga Markets.
“Kanga Markets always have such positive feedback from the community and it’s great to have them back for another year! Kinkuna Park is the heart of our community, surrounded by the playground, open space, multi-use courts and so much more families can enjoy. It’s one of our favourite events as the kids have so much fun. Seeing our littlest residents splashing around in the water streams and utilising an area we have invested so much time into creating is a great way to kick off summer!”, Allara Community Development Coordinator, Katie Dixon advises.
This is the second year in a row the Kanga Markets have run from Kinkuna Park and they will be with us on Saturday 2 November from 9am – 1pm. This year is also the fourth year Waterplay has been activated at Kinkuna Park, a great amenity for the community to enjoy as well as visitors from further afield.
